My Journals

In answer to questions from a couple of people, and to those who are 'new to me', I thought I'd write an explanation of my journals.

• wolf_shadow is my main journal, and is the one I write on most frequently, and the only one I am likely to add other people to, as a general rule.


• bored_emy is purely for memes and similar. Yes, I know I do put some on my main LJ, but believe me I waste far more time on them that I would inflict on others...! I never post 'friends only' or 'private' on this one. I don't add back anyone off it as I don't ever use its friends page, but I don't mind if people do add it - I just think you are mad if you do!


• teni_volka is basically my journal in Russian... I only post in it infrequently, but it means non-English speakers don't have to put up with English waffle!


• de_roet is my research journal. I use this journal to keep track of things I find in books or on the web about my re-enactment character, Katherine de Roet. It's mostly friends only as I often copy and paste things from other sources and I really don't wish for people to try and credit me for another's work! If you are interested in Katherine, biographical research or medieval history, I welcome discussions and debates about things I post, but be aware that I am not necessarily posting my own views, but creating an archive of others' thoughts and opinions as well.


• the_lionrampant is a community, but is also a shorthand for me, (and Gavin, Inge and Helen) to mention the LR, the re-enactment group I am in. I use it to post notices for the wider LR community and to advertise shows mainly. People are welcome to watch it, but I have purposely decided to keep membership and therefore posting rights to existing and former real life LR members.


• Finally, shadow_walker_. This is my private journal where I write down things that I hold quite close to my heart, and which I would like to discuss, but which I would be very hurt if they were ridiculed. In some cases it is charting my thought processes as I try and figure out my personal beliefs and creed. I am very wary about adding people to this journal, and at present I only share it with a couple of oldest and closest friends. It is no insult if I don't add you back on this journal, just shyness and fear of ridicule. In some ways, this journal is the equivalent of a very restricted custom post, or a private post. It has no real chronology as I add and change things on the same posts!

• emys_research: me posting on research, scholarships, and sources I've found.


• uk_reenactors, pretty self- explanatory. I'm just the maintainer.


• old_rosary for stuff, mainly photos on old rosaries, paternosters, mediaeval jewellery, dress and hair...


• emyandjon is for Jon's and my wedding.

I shall leave this public, and I may link it from my info page. Hope it seems to make sense, if not, leave a comment and I'll try to edit this for clarity's sake!
