TUDOR TRAGEDY
On 19 May, 1536 at 8am, Anne Boleyn stepped onto the scaffold where she praised the King, her husband, Henry VIII, was blindfolded and executed. Henry VIII signed her death warrant but what role did the Boleyn family play in this tragic miscarriage of justice?

ANGELS AND DEVILS
'Archangel', a thriller by author Robert Harris, follows fictional Oxford historian Fluke Kelso on a dangerous and thrilling race to uncover the dark mystery behind the alleged secret diaries of Josef Stalin. If you enjoyed the article 'Humanising Stalin?' by Simon Sebag Montefiore, recommended in the last newsletter, you should watch the adaptation of 'Archangel' on Saturday 19 March, 9.10pm, BBC ONE and then explore the history of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
