Chinese New Year
Jan. 27th, 2006 03:54 pmThis weekend is the big Chinese New Year celebrations in London, and elsewhere of course. London's big doodaa wotsit is on in Leicester Square, but I don't think we can afford it this year, but there'll be plenty of others. Anyways, I was chatting about it with my Mum, and I thought I'd share some of her suggestions of inexpensive ways to celebrate the Chinese New Year:
Well, do have a good weekend all! See you all in the Year of the Dog!
- Make Paper dragons, or dogs, or Chinese lanterns, or fans
- Try Chinese writing with paintbrushes - Hmm, have a book on Chinese characters somewhere...
- Chinese cooking (yum!)
- Fortune cookies
- Eat your dinner with chopsticks (good for dieting if you're like me!)
