Records and Archives Assistant
£ 18624 - 21910 Per Annum Full-time (average of 36 hours per week)

You will work as part of a team responsible for the management of current, semi-current and archival records in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Duties include the creation and tracking of correspondence files, the handling of transfers to, and retrievals from, the records store, responding to enquiries from staff and the public and the invigilation of the Library and Archive Reading Room at V&A: Olympia.

It is essential that you should be familiar with databases and word- processing software, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. You should be committed to providing a high standard of service to members of the public and to V&A staff. You should have proven manual dexterity in order to handle delicate papers. The work with the records store will involve the handling and lifting of boxes weighing up to approximately 10kg.
