This is a very good example of how easy it is to promote false science...
Something I'd like to do some day is promote a Scientific version of Snopes, where people can check the actual validity of this sort of 'science' against facts which are obvious to those who know about the relevant subjects, but not to the common man on the street. What do you think the chances are of 'proper' scientists assisting me in my requests for information if I chose to work on this?
Snopes is my analogy especially as clearly disproved theories abound on the internet through people who for whatever reason pass on outdated 'information' without even basic fact checking. This is akin to my personal historical grump against the 'everybody knows' brigade of quasi-Victorian factoids...
