Upping hit rating...

Thanks for all the advice you gave me on going to Kara as RL. Somehow I seem to have ended up as GM too (argh!) cos our GM's girlfriend wanted him to play Guild Wars instead... :/
Anyways, I've respecced a bit, more towards how I play... Basically BM, and up to traps in Surv as I spend most of my time trapping in instance runs. However, I still have a low hit rating, even with some regemming, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to improve as most of the stuff I can find with +hit is in raids (can't get without more hit in the first place :P) or badge gear and I'm not exactly swamped in badges (16 to be honest, cos I spent 15 on one gem). So, any advice on upping hit ratings BEFORE getting into any raids? She's not going to be my raider as such, but I still want her to be competent if she's leading her guild :)

Random aside... does anyone else theme their names?
I have a collection of stone name variants (Garnett, Ameythyst, Malakhite, etc.). My husband's Blood Elves are all called Skarr~ and his tauren Khin~...
