Aug. 4th, 2003 09:16 pmHmm, well, not a bad day, all things said. Bloody cat has got fleas again though!
Beat Carl at Top Trumps last night, which was rather fun, and then has a delicious trifle from Sainsbury's this evening when I got in...
*grin*
I'm about two thirds through Night Watch at the moment and enjoying it. I shall be back up to date once I've finished it (it somehow got sort of sidetracked...). Saw PTerry on Saturday in Djellibeybi (aka Wetherden in Sussex). Silly man said there was an overabundance of bosom around - how can you have an OVERabundance of that, I ask you!! *grin*
In case you haven't gathered, I was at CCDE this weekend (Clarecraft Discworld Event). I chickened out of camping, so had to get up at 6 am to get a train to Stowmarket, and then wait for nearly an hour for the bus to Wetherden. Got to 'Djellibeybi' by about 10.30, and made a beeline for the paint-your-own bit. I got six whites (unpainted figurines): Mort duelling ; Grebo as a man ; the Dean, complete with quiff! ; Teach and another from the Silver Hoarde ; and the event piece. The event piece this year was massive - a large plaque of Pteppic and Ptraci astride a large camel with a pyramid in the background. It took me nearly 5 hours to finish the event piece...! I then painted up Grebo and Mort, before running out of time. I've brought the painting guides home for the last three, intending to finish them off at some point...
After the pyo finished, I watched the Maskerade, which was great and included a number of storming costumes. Some people dd sketches, whilst others did short skits or speeches. Quite a lot of effort and thought has gone into all the costumes.
I'm now going to spend an hour or so choosing some songs to put past my friend Chris to see if he'll accompany me singing one Thursday night at Act One.
